Gothic/black metal from Chile, debut full-length album released in 2009.
BURNING TEARS was born as a consecuence of many proyects related to metal branches and had been playing with several musicians since then. The guitarist (Diago Galleguillos) and the drummer (Nicolas Pichara) decided to play some songs of Nightwish after listening one of their discs, and then recruiting some more musicians to the band. With some formation changes the band stays in the period of 2001 - 2003 as the most "solid" tribute band of nightwish in chile, winning several school festivals and having many presentations in Santiago, where stresses the "tribute to finnish rock" where played also Alta Densidad, Mithology and Six Magics (some very important bands in the Chilean rock scene).
In the year 2004 the band stops playing nightwishs music and starts to compose their own music, and they tributes to Nightwish for the last time. The actual vocalist, Alicia “Lichi” Plaza, replaces the old one after some personal issues and the band experimented more formation changes, including a drastic one.
In 2005 left the last keybordist of the band and since then, they started to use alternatives to the keyboard.
In the year 2006 the flautist Karen Echavarria entered the band and they continued the production of the new songs.
Now, with the last restructuration in the line-up, in 2007 Pablo Feller becomes the new bass player, and with the actual formation, the band stays firm and started to play again in the second half of the year 2007. At the moment they are working on the release of their first album.
Awesome debut from this Gothic Metal band, influenced by Lacuna Coil, Tristania and Black Metal music. Their sound is very similar to the Aussie band, Chalice (actually disbanded), because they have a flute player in the line-up, giving to their music a very original touch. Highly recommended!
